Tri Star Punt Pass & Kick – Sept. 19, 2022

The Seward Optimist Club hosted the first ever Optimist Tri-Star Punt Pass & Kick Contest at the Plum Creek Sports Complex in Seward, on September 19, 2022. The Seward Recreation Department assisted with preparations. This skills program provides boys and girls, ages 6-15, the opportunity to showcase their skills with the football. Age division was determined by birthdate as of Dec. 31, 2022. All participants were rewarded with a gift certificate from the Dairy Queen. Winners in each age and gender group advanced to the Optimist Tri-Star District Level competition at Nebraska Wesleyan’s Abel Stadium held October 2, 2022. Trophies were awarded to the Top 5 boys AND top 5 girls IN EACH of the 10 Optimist age categories.
